Through this project, I learned how to incorporate source material in subtle ways. In order to fully bring this character to life, I fully analyzed both Janice Joplin's style and The Empress tarot card. Pulling said details, such as the celestial crown and jewelry of the original card, allowed me to give the character more depth and reason for wearing their clothes. This also makes for fun Easter eggs for the viewers.
